About Sansom Photography
Sansom Photography is run by Chris and Verity Sansom, a husband and wife team based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2010, and we offer a photography service that’s fresh, young and exciting.
Our photographs speak for themselves… intimate and elegant, they capture the essence of your special day. The images we take will be a beautiful and lasting reminder for you to treasure.
Some people are more relaxed than others in front of a camera… we have a gift for understanding and reacting sensitively, so that you’ll never feel that our approach is intrusive. Although our style is informal ‘reportage’, we’ll also cater for group shots and we do our utmost to ensure that your wishes are fulfilled.
As a couple, we can offer simultaneous photography of both the bride and the groom as you prepare for your special day. Previous clients have been impressed with our professional yet personal approach, saying that they soon began to see us as friends rather than photographers. This is so important… and if you and your guests are relaxed, the photographs will reflect this.
Choose from our range of packages which begin with a few hours’ essential wedding coverage and extend to a full day of photography, from your bridal preparations to the last dance. We can also tailor fit packages to suit you and your day.
Chris began his photographic career by covering live music events, a challenge which taught him to work fast and take opportunities as they happened. He prefers to work with a long lens, which allows him to tightly frame his subjects for intimate portraits without intruding on the moment. With a passion for film, Chris studied moving image production at University, and he strongly believes in the importance in storytelling through his images.
Verity loves using wide-angle lenses to capture atmosphere and landscape, allowing her unique creativity to add another dimension to her images. Her degree in Fine Art allowed her to experiment with styles and processes – she knows instinctively what shot she wants to get and how to achieve it. Always striving to create unique and beautiful images that you can treasure forever.

Love your work! And your about page was almost as if we were reading about ourselves… although on the other side of the ocean. We work as a couple as well, and our views and methods seem to be almost an exact mirror image. It was fascinating to read.
